Motivational Monday – one word to motivate your month. Schools out for summer and that means there’s more time to EXPLORE. Home or abroad there’s plenty to satisfy every taste.
Remember when you were a child and the summer holiday seemed to go on forever and ever. Of course that’s due to children not having the same concept of time as adults. So why not live this summer like you are a child again. Summer days are the best time to spend exploring as they evoke feelings of exploration. Not sure where to start – why not set yourself a goal to try at least five new things this summer? Start with your local area, there’s so much on our doorsteps that we don’t experience. Then move a little further afield, even an hour away from your home and you’ll discover new amazing places and spaces. Not booked your vacation yet? then consider a staycation and explore a nearby place. You could be daring and stick a pin in a map of the British Isles and head for that location. Fancy a few days out? there’s always lots of events taking place, from food festivals to boat races, take a look at your local directory or search online. If you want to get away further afield, then try a new place and don’t just go back to a place you like. The world is ours to explore and we should try and see as much of it as we can.
Make a promise to yourself, that this summer is going to be the one where you step back into being a child and explore the wonderful world around us.
We travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us
All good things are wild and free
When was the last time you did something for the first time?
The world is yours to explore
Put down the map and get wonderfully lost
Collect moments not things
Make everyday count…you’ll never get it back
