Well I’ve survived the first week of January and I still feel relaxed! Whilst the holiday glow is gradually starting to recede, I have to say I’ve managed to maintain a feeling of balanced wellbeing. Last year I set myself 5 priorities which I wanted to guide my year. I have to say I achieved 4 out of 5, I seriously need to improve my movement. This year I’ve decided to find one word that I want to define my year.
My word for 2017 is….focus…
the centre of interest or activity
the state or quality of having or producing clear visual definition
The last few years have been a bit of a transition after having my world turned upside down. But I now feel ready, both on a professional and personal level, to spend time focusing on me and what I want to achieve in my life. I have to say I am not coming at this from a standing start, towards the later part of last year, I had started to re-focus on myself.
When I read Shannon’s 3 ways to make 2017 your year, I knew that this fitted with my need to focus:
- Take one important risk
- Break one bad habit
- Set 3 big goals
If you’re not sure how you’re going to approach 2017 yet, have a read of my previous posts on setting SMART goals and achieving a good life balance.
I’m excited for the year ahead and all of the possibilities that it will offer.
Wishing you a successful and happy 2017!
